Kal-toh is a game imagined by the writers of Star Trek Next Generation.
It is presented as a one or two player Vulcan logic puzzle most
often played by the character Tuvok. The goal is to "find the seeds of order
in the midst of chaos". A pile of random rods (t'an) is moved, one t'an
at a time to form a regular geometric structure.

This web-site is a test site for a version of kal-toh based on vaki
puzzles. To proceed beyond this page you will have to login or register
(or hack your way past our not too threatening security).
After a successful login, registration, or hack you will be able to play
vaki puzzles and kal-toh online, by yourself or against either Simon or Jim,
our roboplayers.

Tuvok is able to solve kal-toh by moving misplaced rods from the jumble
and placing them correctly. In this preliminary version of kal-toh we
are going to add rods to an initial set of correctly placed ones. Starting with
a mess just seems an exercise in graphics!
